As a working farm, the area in front of this 1910 Return Villa was mostly used for livestock. The owners envisaged more.

With an open dialogue between client and designer a clear vision was established. Garden rooms were created allowing subtle changes to the planting style in each of the exterior rooms and plant selection focused on seasonal colour, foliage texture and drought tolerance.

Through attention to detail the central brick pattern leading to the front entrance was designed to reference to the quoins of the building. Gravel paths bordered by recycled red bricks were appropriate materials for new garden paths, selected to compliment the exterior of the Villa and seamlessly blend the house with the garden.
